Introduction

For De Bomenspecialist’s webshop, our team developed and implemented several email automation flow within Klaviyo. De Bomenspecialist is a nursery and supplier of plants and trees to gardeners and private individuals, with customers all over the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

The company is located in Opheusden (Gelderland) and consists of a head office, sales field and 5 own nurseries. They wanted to generate more conversions from doubting and returning website visitors.

About this case

We started with a baseline measurement of the current e-mail and SMS marketing situation. Based on this analysis, we came up with concrete flows and campaigns that we planned to develop and implement over the next 6 months. We started linking their Prestashop with Klaviyo.

The first step was to get Klaviyo fully up to speed by linking the system with other applications and systems that The Tree Specialist uses internally, including Google Ads. We then worked with the client to devise new automated email flows that aligned with their marketing goals. Some examples of email automation flows that have been realized:

Results

In the first 3 months after Klaviyo account redesign and go-live of all email automation campaigns, we saw an 18% increase in engagement via email communications. Direct purchases via e-mail, mainly through the abandoned card flow and sample upselling flow, also increased an average of 15%.

To stay focused on quality results, our team continues to continuously A/B test subject lines, copy and creation, test dynamic personalization features within emails and launch campaign pilots within push notifications and SMS.
